$50 Million Raised So Far for Australian Bushfire Crisis
At least 23 people have died in bushfires in Australia since the Summer began in October.
We at New Releaze are saddened that our first article of 2020 is such a sombre, but important one – that our beloved sunburnt country is on fire in a way that we have never seen in our history.
At least 23 people have died in bushfires in Australia since the Summer began in October.
The death toll in NSW is currently 18 people, including three volunteer firefighters, with 2 people still missing. South Australia has had 3 deaths and Victoria 2.

We would like to take this chance to thank our brave men and women out there fighting day and night, doing their best. Thank you.
In true Australian fashion, however, this tragedy has brought together people from every walk of life. Among them, Australian Comedian Celeste Barber started a Bushfire Relief Fundraiser – and has made history as the platforms biggest fundraiser ever, as donations now top $51 million dollars.
Please consider donating to those in need. Charities have asked that people only donate money from now on, as the trucks carrying food and clothing are having trouble keeping up with all the donations, though they thank people for their generosity.
