Twin Flames – Andy & Anthony | New Releaze
“According to Greek Mythology, humans were originally created with four arms, four legs, and a head with two faces. Fearing their power, Zeus split them into two separate beings, condemning them to spend their lives in search of their other halves.”
The quote, made famous in Plato’s Symposium, is one of the more romantic legends that has survived the trials and tribulations of time. The idea that our “better half” is out there, waiting for us, even being drawn to us, may be comforting to the idealist – while quixotic to the realist. It seems too good to be true, and yet life has found a way to imitate art in the form of Anthony and Andy. Twin Flames, drawn to each other.
Anthony (left as pictured) and his wife of twelve years – Genevieve, have had a long and happy journey as a married couple, and a few years ago Anthony opened up to her and bravely came out as Bi. Genevieve was not entirely surprised by his news. In fact she welcomed it and supported him in every way that a best friend does.
In 2019, on one of their many trips From Canada to Australia, Anthony began using a popular dating app, and struck up a conversation with one guy in particular. They had so much in common that they were almost different versions of the same person – a fact that was not lost on Genevieve. She urged Anthony to reach out and meet his other half, who’s name was Andy.

They met on Anthony’s last night of the trip, with the lead up both humorous and anxious. They even almost wore the same outfit. After the meeting, Anthony filled Genevieve in on the conversation and connection they both felt, and the two continued to text each other long into the night and the next morning. Genevieve knew that Anthony wanted to see Andy again, and urged him to do so. Andy agreed that he wanted to say goodbye too.
The three plane rides home were emotional for Anthony and Genevieve both. Back in Vancouver something had changed, and conversations were had. A distressed Anthony opened up and admitted what he really wanted to Genevieve, who could not have been prouder of him. She told him to go back, that a connection like the one they had was not something you see every day, even every lifetime, and began believing more and more that these two were Soulmates, drawn together across the sea. Anthony came back to Australia in March 2019, and not to Genevieve’s surprise, Anthony and Andy fell in love. Anthony plans to obtain his visa, move to Australia, and marry the man he was born to be with, his other half, in late 2020. A GoFundMe has been started lovingly by Genevieve, to help cover costs for the move to Australia, the wedding, and visa expenses.
