“For My Brothers” – New Album from Siki Daha

The album is a mixture of sophisticated pop and electro-pop vibes talking about love, betrayal and bravery.

The words of Siki Daha, describing the inspiration for his latest studio album For My Brothers.

It was titled as a tribute to my two brothers as a thank you for showing me the door into music again as I took a break for a while as an artist.

This album has taken almost ten years to make with tracks that I recorded back in 2010, 2013 and so on, all of them were perfect for the current climate and the changes that are happening in the world today.

Released on the 12/06/20, each song of For My Brothers takes the listener on a new, yet nostalgic journey that we’ve all been on before; be it falling in love for the first time, confronting prejudice, or accepting the flaws that make us human.

I know as a #songwriter it’s my duty especially at a time like this in the world to inspire, educate where you can and uplift through music. ⁣ ⁣ So I wrote a song about a friend of mines experience being a #transgirl having to emote to prostitution as she couldn’t get work anywhere. Yes we have grown and yes the world is changing but there is still a large amount of ignorance and uneducated folk out there that need to step it up. ⁣ ⁣ So to all the people who have a chance to give others of minority groups an open door, PLEASE DO SO and let this song be a reminder that #translivesmatter and please help employ our trans brothers and sisters. ⁣ ⁣ This song was also musically inspired by my Australian #shero @tinaarena THANKYOU for continually inspiring me and being my musical rock, you forever hold a place in my heart for your truth as a songwriter and your undeniable talent as an artist since day one. A million THANKYOUS to you! ❤️⁣ LINK IN BIO for #spotify Video: @victorpuigcerver_ Actress: @pavievalsa Location: The flat I got from #grindr (yes you heard right, from grindr!) ⁣ #music #covid #berlin #humanrights #transrights #lgbt #musicvideo #love #loveyourself #song

For My Brothers is an honest, loving, and emotional take on life, no matter who you are. It’s an album we’ll be playing and re-playing for months.
